A 25 year old professional synchronized swimmer and student of legal principle was crowned as Miss World Macau 2012 on 03 June 2012.
Winnie has been lending her support to various charitable organizations since she was 15 years old, so Miss World Macau is for her a great opportunity to further promote her works.
As part of her Beauty With A Purpose efforts, Miss World Macau Winnie Sin has been working tirelessly in support of regional charity works which aim to aid disadvantaged children and people with learning disabilities by means of fundraising, voluntary work and communication with local media and authorities raising awareness and support from various sources.
Her main focus has been on people, particularly children, with Autism. Macau is a very fortunate place in that it does not suffer from a lot of poverty. But unfortunately the cases of Autism have increased dramatically, not only in Macau but also all over the world.
Since her coronation, Winnie Sin has been working closely with the Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council (NAAC), a non-profit organization in Macau, HK & China. Established in 1968 as a registered non-profit organization, there are in total 9 departments with more than 90 service units which cover a wide range of services including Elderly, Rehabilitation, Children and Family, Community, Youth, Mainland, Medical, Education, and Social Enterprise as well.
NAAC has in total 10 Autism Children Homes in Macau, HK and China. Starting from mid June, Winnie Sin, Miss World Macau 2012 has been visiting different homes and working as a voluntary English teacher on a regular basis.
