Miss Malaysia World Melinder Bhullar took centre stage this weekend during the Pink Ribbon Campaign 2013, promoting Breast Cancer Awareness in Malaysia.
Engaged by Wacoal Malaysia Sdn Bhd, Melinder and the first runner up at Miss Malaysia World 2013 have been taking to the stage at various places over the past few days, sharing their knowledge on breast cancer prevention and on how to lead a healthy lifestyle. The Pink Ribbon Campaign events held in Miri, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching were a rousing success, drawing large crowds who were engaged not only by talks on stage, but also with a variety of give-aways, fun activities and also Wacoal’s experienced advisors.
Melinder said that she” really enjoyed myself, engaging the public in so many different activities & sharing my knowledge on breast cancer awareness over the past few days.”
As part of its 2013 Pink Ribbon initiatives, proceeds generated from Wacoal Malaysia’s nationwide Pink Ribbon donation drive in the month of October will be channeled to charitable organisations to benefit Malaysian women.
“The fight against breast cancer or Pink Ribbon Campaign is a cause that is very close to the heart of Wacoal,” said Wacoal Malaysia executive director Takashi Watanabe.
“Since its establishment in 1949 in Japan, Wacoal’s fundamental principle has been ‘to contribute to the society by helping women to enhance their beauty,” he added.
