Beauty with a Purpose

Maja Nikolic represented Croatia at Miss World 2012. For her Beauty with a Purpose project, Maja looked for somewhere in her local community where her time and effort would really make a difference. Maja chose to spend her time working at the “Dobri Dom” institute in Zagreb, a place which provides sustenance and food for the homeless and disadvantaged.

With over 1.3m meals prepared at the centre over the course of a year, the centre provides for all types of people across the city, but Maja focused her attentions on providing for the 1500 homeless people that food was provided for each day. She worked in all parts of the process from preparation to delivery of the final meal.
