On Wednesday, March 29th, the honorable Governor of Puerto Rico, Ricardo Roselló, and the First Lady, Beatriz Roselló, held a reception at El Palacio de Santa Catalina, the Governor’s mansion built in 1540, as part of the closing for the activities held on World Down Syndrome Day, March 21st. This event was used to commemorate and congratulate those who participated and thank them for their hard work.
Lily’s Angels Foundation, in collaboration with other Down Syndrome entities, brought together teens and young adults with Down Syndrome to intern at different government and private offices to promote the importance of inclusion in the work field. It was a pleasure for me to be part of such an important activity that endorses inclusion and to see how people with this condition really do contribute to society because they have no limits!
